The transformation industry has been selling the butterfly and skipping the cocoon. It celebrates the wings and calls the ruin optional. This keynote does not do that.
This is the complete arc: the driveway, the crossing, the wilderness, and the name that was always the proof. It opens on a Saturday afternoon in 2012 and closes on the name "Vanessa" — and what it has meant since long before anyone knew to call it a brand.
